How VistaBoard turns your Fronius solar system into a real-time wall dashboard — no cloud, no app needed.
If you own a Fronius solar system, you want to know what it is doing right now. How much power is coming from the roof? Is the home battery charging or discharging? Is electricity flowing to the grid or being drawn? The Fronius app and SolarWeb portal show this, but only on a smartphone or PC. VistaBoard brings all this data directly to your wall.
VistaBoard connects via the local Fronius Solar API to the inverter on your home network. In the settings, enter the IP address of your Fronius Symo, Primo or GEN24, and VistaBoard reads real-time data directly. No cloud, no Fronius account needed, no data leaves the house.
The energy display shows six values in real time: PV production in watts, home battery charge level in percent, grid draw or feed-in, household consumption, wallbox charging power and the current electricity price. All values update every 10 seconds. You can immediately see when a cloud reduces production or the battery is full.
The combination with a BYD home battery is especially practical. VistaBoard reads the charge level via the Fronius interface and shows it as a bar with percentage. A target value for the evening (e.g. 65 percent by 6:30 PM) can also be displayed to ensure the battery lasts through the night.
For owners of a Fronius Wattpilot wallbox, charging status is shown automatically: which car is connected, how much has been charged so far, which mode the wallbox is running (ECO, MIX or Fast). This saves the trip to the garage to check the Wattpilot display.
The advantage over the Fronius app: the display hangs where the family walks by anyway. In the kitchen, hallway or home office. No need to unlock a phone, open an app or log in. The data is just there. Always visible, always current.
VistaBoard shows energy data alongside calendars, weather and photos. This creates a family dashboard that informs and decorates at the same time. Mornings show appointments, midday shows solar production and evenings show rotating family photos.
Setup takes just minutes: enter the Fronius inverter IP address, optionally add the Tibber API token for electricity prices, done. VistaBoard automatically detects whether a GEN24 or an older Symo/Primo is connected.
Bottom line: for Fronius owners, VistaBoard is the easiest way to keep your solar system permanently in view. No SolarWeb, no app, no password. Just a display on the wall showing what your system is doing right now.
